You might be able to repair some faults yourself and save some time and money! Fridge leaking? Freezer working but fridge not cooling? These are two common fridge faults that you may be able to resolve before you book a fridge service technician. Although you made need an alternative fridge or freezer prior to undertaking the following they are worth trying. Firstly, unplug the fridge or freezer and move it to an area that will not be damaged by leaking water. Put absorbant materials down (such as towels) that won’t damage the flooring when they are wet. Turn the unit off for at least 24 to 48 hours then turn it back on. This process manually defrosts your fridge or freezer.

Additionally, check that the power point switch for the refrigerator is on. It sounds simple but it is surprising how often the switch is turned off when cleaning or moving the fridge or freezer.
