Hygiene & Cleaning of your DishwasherTuesday April 12 2016
Every three months, empty your dishwasher after the filters have been cleaned and fill the dispenser with dishwasher cleaner and proceed to run the dishwasher on the hottest place setting. This prevents the build up of scales and also helps to keep your dishwasher hygienic.
Why? As above, this periodic major clean reduces bacterial growth greatly. It also makes your dishwasher smell nice.
Ensure that all items are free from food scraps before loading them into the dishwasher. If they are not cleaned sufficiently before loading a food/bacterial residue will be circulated throughout the dishwasher and coat all of your dishes.
Why? Not only is this unhygienic, but it can also result in blocked filters and pumps and, you guessed it, a Service Call.
Tip: We recommend Hillmark concentrate that de-calcifies and deodorises your dishwasher. Call or drop-in to ABC Electrical and quote part number ACC017. Our Technicians also carry this on board for mobile decalcification.
